Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A price impulse is a sharp, unusual price move of a coin in a short time, usually on abnormally high trading volume. Such moves are called a pump (sharp rise) or a dump (sharp fall). An impulse can be triggered by a listing, news, a large player or coordinated action — so the impulse itself is not a buy signal.
The screener monitors major crypto exchanges: Binance, BingX, Bitget, BitMEX, Bybit, CoinEx, Gate, HTX, Hyperliquid, KuCoin, LBank, MEXC, OKX, Toobit, WhiteBit. The list of exchanges depends on where events are happening right now; in the «Exchange» filter above the table you can select a specific platform or keep «All».
Pump is a sharp price increase that holds at the moment of detection. Dump is a sharp fall. Spike-Recovery is when the price moved sharply and then returned to its original level — for example, a brief spike caused by a large order or a trading error.
These are the coin's price changes across timeframes: 1, 5, 15 and 30 minutes and 1 hour before the event was detected, at the current moment and after it. The «Dev.» column shows the reversal — how far the price has pulled back from its extreme. It helps assess the scale and character of the impulse.
Click «Settings» above the table. Set the minimum Pump/Dump percentage for the timeframe you need, the minimum 24-hour volume (to filter out illiquid coins) and the spread boundaries. Your settings are stored in your browser and applied to further updates automatically.
24h volume helps assess a coin's liquidity: an impulse on a thin market is easy to «paint» and hardly reflects real interest. The bid-ask spread shows how expensive it is to enter and exit a position — with a very wide spread, trading the impulse is unprofitable even if the move is strong.
The screener is an informational tool, not a trading signal. Buying into pumps is one of the riskiest strategies: the price can crash as fast as it rose, and some impulses are caused by manipulation. The tool is useful for watching the market, analyzing anomalies and timing — but decisions are your own responsibility.
